- Edible groundcovers: If the “lawn” is actually a low carpet of thyme, microgreens, and clover you nibble as you stroll (don’t judge), is there any food-safety concern with common liquid lawn mixes? Heavy metal certificates of analysis exist for any of these brands, or am I in “mystery micronutrients” territory?
- Runoff and water rules: Practical ways to apply liquids without sending nitrogen on a field trip to the nearest storm drain. Hose-end sprayer vs cheap venturi injector to a dripline? Foliar on clover only? Anyone got runoff nitrate test results they’re willing to share?
- Performance reality check: On a no-mow/low-mow clover-dominant “lawn,” do liquid fertilizers actually reduce mowing and irrigation needs long-term, or do they just turbocharge the grass that I’m pretending I don’t own?
- Container guilt: Creative ideas to keep those big plastic jugs out of the landfill-refill hacks, community bulk buys, or take-back loops? Or is the better answer “don’t buy the jug” and topdress with compost like a sane person?
- Hydroponic crossover: Wild thought-can these “liquid lawn” blends double as a nutrient for sub-irrigated planters or hydro buckets in an urban balcony farm if you tweak calcium/magnesium? Anyone tried side-by-side with standard hydro salts without producing either a bumper crop or a leafy crime scene?
