Vapor barrier peeling after one winter - fix or live with damp?

the vapor barrier they put in these eco live homes is already peeling at the edges after one winter, so moisture is creeping into the walls. tried taping it back down with the heavy stuff but it just won’t stay. worth ripping it out and redoing or just live with the damp?

If the tape already failed after one winter the moisture’s probably coming from behind anyway, so patching won’t cut it long term in these homes.

Haven’t checked what’s behind the barrier yet, but the edges are lifting in a few spots even where I didn’t tape. Might be worth a closer look before ripping everything out.
