same here last year when the battery lifecycle stuff came up in a thread. looked at the mining impact and recycling rates for those big packs versus what a hybrid’s smaller one needs, and it flipped how i thought about it. leased a hybrid to try cutting gas without the full electric commitment, but now the lease is ending and i’m stuck between extending that or switching to electric anyway since local solar’s picking up. which one would you pick?
