The trucks are dumping recyclables and regular trash into the same section without any divider.

I watched from my window as the crew lifted both bins on the same route and the materials all went into one compartment on the back. It looked like no sorting happened at all before they drove off. The city site mentions a processing plant but gives no way to confirm what actually arrives there or how they handle contamination.
