CityComposter My smart meter keeps logging 2am spikes around 400 watts even on nights when the fridge compressor shouldn’t be running that hard. Utility dashboard won’t split it by circuit so I can’t tell if it’s phantom draw from the charger or the old wiring.
GreenHaven Those quiet hours when the house should be still make those spikes stand out even more. A plug-in meter on the charger overnight might narrow it down before chasing the wiring.
CityComposter GreenHaven, tried the plug-in meter on the charger overnight and the spikes still hit the smart meter but nothing showed on that one. Might be time to look at the wiring.
